Measuring element

Flow measurement applications are very diverse and each situation has its own constraints and engineering requirements. SPRIANO manufactures several flow measurement and restriction devices in the factory. Among the most important devices are Venturi Tube, Orifice Plate, Restriction Orifice Assembly, Orifice Flanges, Pitot Tube and so forth.

Venturi tube:

a device for measuring the flow of a fluid, consisting of a tube with a short, narrow center section and widened, tapered ends, so that a fluid flowing through the center section at a higher velocity than through an end section creates a pressure differential that is a measure of the flow of the fluid.

Orifice plate:

An orifice plate is a device used for measuring flow rate, for reducing pressure or for restricting flow (in the latter two cases it is often called a restriction plate).

Pitot tube:

An Annubar primary element is an averaging Pitot tube similar to a single point pitot tube used to measure the flow of gas, steam, or liquid in a pipe.
